What you get
Lettoria is a free, browser-based touch-typing course designed for children aged roughly 8–12. Eric the dragon guides learners through stories and exercises. The course currently shows 26 lessons across seven regions, from the home row to number keys and speed practice. It is a Dutch-language course, so check whether that suits your child before starting. You do not need to create an account or provide an email address to begin.
Start a lesson
- Open Lettoria’s world map on a laptop or desktop computer.
- Use a physical keyboard; the course says a tablet can work with an external keyboard too.
- Choose Eric’s Cave to begin, then follow the on-screen finger-position prompts.
- Repeat short exercises when needed and check completed lessons and stars on the map.
Keep progress on the same device
According to Lettoria’s parent information, lesson progress is saved locally in the browser. That means another browser or device may start from the beginning; clearing browser data may also remove local progress. The provider says no registration or email is required. Treat its privacy statements as the provider’s description, not an independent audit. The course is free to use, but completing it or reaching a particular typing speed is not guaranteed. A few comfortable minutes of regular practice are more useful than rushing through levels.
